The passion of Christ is a sacred representation - the archaic verses accompanied by solemn music, and played in the form of popular theater - who for nearly two hundred years is prepared every five years, the population of the town of Piedmont Sordevolo (BI).
It tells what can be considered as the focal point of Christianity - that the Passion of Jesus Christ - and is certainly one of the most complex choral performances arranged in Italy. To interpret are amateur actors of all ages.
The performance earned him the nickname of the hilly resort town of Passion, attracting spectators from everywhere. Is organized and prepared by a specially formed association, the National Association of Theatre Sordevolo, who inherited in 1991 the commitment in 1816 from what was the old National Theatre Committee Passion Sordevolo.
The Passion of the Christ is replicated every weekend from July to September.
